Since 2004, the Naqaqa Giving Foundation has provided health, education, and community development assistance to remote villages in Fiji's northern islands, working to strengthen communities with resources aligned to local values rather than outside solutions. In a region often overlooked by international aid organizations, NGF has developed a replicable model for delivering assistance to rural populations, one it continues to expand as its capacity grows.
The Naqaqa Giving Foundation (NGF) is a not-for-profit charitable foundation that provides direct support and assistance to disadvantaged people in the Fiji islands, and in the Southern Africa. It was founded in 2006 by Best-Selling American author Gavin de Becker, who provides its primary funding. NGF has allocated over $4,000,000.00 in Fiji!
Many hundreds are healthier, better educated, have permanent shelter, more clothing, clean water, regular food, and in some instances are still alive because of the work NGF does. Who We Are
Established in 2004, the Naqaqa Giving Foundation (NGF) invests in the future of Fiji’s remote villages by providing residents with the necessary resources to improve their lives in a manner consistent with their values and ideals. We do this by offering educational opportunities, access to healthcare and through life changing agriculture and community development initiatives.
In Fiji, 31% of people live in poverty and national assistance programs only reach 1 in 10 of those in need. In an area often overlooked by media and aid organizations, NGF is investing in remote villages and impacting the lives of people who need our support.
